My Hero Ultra Rumble
My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble is an online battle royale action game based on the anime Boku no Hero Academia, whose heroes are playable characters. The Japanese studio Bandai Namco is responsible for the title.
Mechanics
The basic gameplay mechanics do not differ from those typical for this genre. Before the match begins, we choose a character and have a chance to learn about its skills - unique to each hero. Then, together with other players in groups of three, we go to the fighting arena, to a place of our choice, where our task is to survive as long as possible - the last surviving team wins. The gameplay area regularly shrinks, and being outside the safe zone results in death. Each character has three unique skills, enabling short and long-range combat. We improve them during the game by finding appropriate cards - we choose which direction we will develop the character - whether we choose, for example, more offensive abilities or those that support the team. We can give cards that we don't need to our team members. In the game, we also acquire other items useful in combat, including those that increase the capacity of our equipment, elixirs that give us a shield or restore health points to us or all team members within range. We find them directly on the ground, in chests or obtain them from lost civilians - interestingly, if our character is a hero, we save them, and if our character is a villain, we attack them.
