Fate/Samurai Remnant is a Japanese action RPG. The game was developed by Omega Force studios (known from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Persona 5 Strikers) and Kou Shibusawa (including Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV). The Type-Moon team, which initiated the entire brand, was consulted during the work.
Storyline
As the title suggests, the game is part of the Fate brand, the first installment of which was Fate/stay night released in 2004. The plot of all versions revolves around deadly tournaments in which the prize is a magical Grail that fulfills wishes. Each such competition involves magicians who summon the greatest heroes from the history of mankind as their warriors. Fate/Samurai Remnant tells the story of one such tournament taking place in medieval Japan. The player takes on the role of a young samurai who becomes a participant in this magical competition.
