Storyline

The game takes us back to ancient Egypt. The action begins with the death of the current Pharaoh. The people of Egypt, Canaan and the Hittite Empire are waiting for a new leader. There are many candidates for power, but ultimately only one of them will become the next ruler of this empire.

Mechanics

Total War: Pharaoh is an extension of the ideas from the previous installments of the series. The game is divided into two levels - strategic, dealing with managing the country, and tactical, in the form of battles. When we start the game, we choose between eight faction leaders from three cultural centers, and each of them has unique features that influence the gameplay. The strategic layer is played in a turn-based system on a map full of details, stretching from the fertile banks of the Nile through the windswept barren deserts of the Sinai Peninsula to the mountainous crags of ancient Anatolia. In this mode, we develop the economy and cities, conduct trade, engage in diplomacy, and recruit and equip armies.

Mechanics

In Thief Simulator 2, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (the so-called FPP view). The basis of the game is exploring several large, diverse locations and robbing various places found there. This includes houses or shops that are not very well secured, as well as places that pose a real challenge (e.g. banks). You need to prepare properly for each jump and demonstrate cold blood, dexterity and common sense during the task. We also use a variety of equipment - from a crowbar to technologically advanced tools. We also often have to solve simple logical challenges and sneak to avoid guards. Additionally, the production also enables theft of cars - from ordinary SUVs and sedans to expensive sports cars.

Street Fighter 6 is the next installment of the Japanese fighting game series created by Capcom studio. The main theme of the sixth part is street culture, manifested in the visual layer (urban scenery and ubiquitous graffiti) and sound (rhythm that makes the game dynamic). 

Mechanics

Street Fighter 6 is a classic representative of the fighting game genre, in which two opponents face each other. Producers from the Capcom studio introduced alternative control options in the sixth version to make the game easier for less experienced users. In addition to the classic scheme requiring memorization of complex button sequences for the best techniques, there are also dynamic and modern systems. The first one supports the player with automatic attacks, the second one reduces special attacks to simple combinations. The gameplay has also become more accessible thanks to the presence of the Drive indicator. It serves, among others, to perform powerful counterattacks or movements that can absorb an incoming blow and throw the opponent off rhythm. The key to success is to constantly use the Drive system to activate special attacks, while making sure not to use it up completely, which will result in a temporary loss of access to the most powerful techniques.

Game modes

In Street Fighter 6 we get access to three game modules. In Fighting Ground, we will find all the competition options known from the fifth installment, including a classic one-on-one fight, a ranking match or a duel with special rules. World Tour is a story mode in which we create our own character and travel around the world, fighting with famous warriors. During the adventure, we can become their adepts, thanks to which we will learn techniques such as the Hadouken energy attack. Nothing will stand in the way of combining the styles of several mentors. The last mode is Battle Hub, created for users who value playing together with other players. Using a hero created for the story campaign, we take part in temporary tournaments and challenges or invite people we meet to compete at slot machines inspired by classic versions of the Street Fighter series.

Storyline

As the title suggests, the game is part of the Fate brand, the first installment of which was Fate/stay night released in 2004. The plot of all versions revolves around deadly tournaments in which the prize is a magical Grail that fulfills wishes. Each such competition involves magicians who summon the greatest heroes from the history of mankind as their warriors. Fate/Samurai Remnant tells the story of one such tournament taking place in medieval Japan. The player takes on the role of a young samurai who becomes a participant in this magical competition.

RimWorld is a strategy about managing an extraterrestrial colony. This is the debut production of the Ludeon studio, and the main game designer was Tynan Sylvester, who previously worked on BioShock and BioShock Infinite at the Irrational Games studio. 

Storyline

The action of RimWorld takes place in the distant future, at a time when humanity has colonized countless alien systems. Despite this, it has still not managed to find a way to exceed the speed of light, which means that individual colonies are very isolated and most often rely only on themselves. Players take command of a small group of survivors of a spaceship that crashed on an alien planet. Therefore, random passengers are at our disposal, not trained specialists. Each character has their own story, which determines the way they function in the game. For example, a former nobleman will excel in situations requiring negotiation, such as setting prices in trade. On the other hand, a scientist will do great in the laboratory, but trying to use him for social interactions will end in failure. We expand the ranks of colonists by integrating prisoners caught in battles, buying them from slave traders or accepting refugees.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition is a special edition of the action RPG game titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The production is the result of the work of the authors of the original - the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. The set includes the basic version of the game and all additional content released after its release, as well as two large story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. 

Next-gen update

On December 14, 2022, developers from the CD Projekt RED studio released a free "next-gen" update of The Witcher 3. The complete edition of the game - including the basic version, all DLCs and story additions - was developed primarily for next-generation consoles, although there is also a PC version has had several improvements. Thanks to the "patch", textures and character models are more detailed and available in 4K resolution (while maintaining 60 frames per second). There is also support for ray tracing technology, providing more realistic lighting, shadows and ambient occlusion. In addition, the update added, among others: photo mode, improved map, quick sign throwing system and alternative camera settings (from above Geralt's back). There is also a new story mission - "In the Shadow of the Eternal Fire". The reward for completing it is a Witcher set inspired by the Netflix series - one of several new armors introduced by the patch. Moreover, an alternative appearance has been added for some characters, e.g. for Dandelion.

Storyline

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition takes players to the fantastic universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski for the book series about the Witcher. The main character of the game is Geralt of Rivia, known from the previous installments of the series, and the story told in it focuses on the invasion of the Nilfgaardian Empire into the Northern Kingdoms, stopping the titular Wild Hunt, which persecuted Geralt in the novels and marked its presence in the first and second series, as well as on the search for Ciri, the adoptive daughter of the Witcher and Yennefer - his beloved. It is worth remembering that the game's plot is non-linear, and its course and ending are determined by the decisions we make during the game.

NBA 2K24 does not introduce any revolutionary changes in mechanics, so the main element of the gameplay are basketball matches. Thanks to the full NBA league license, the game includes real teams and players; we are talking about both current names and NBA legends, most notably Kobe Bryant. The title allows us to lead not only one of the real teams to victory, but also our own team, composed of NBA celebrities of our choice.

Game modes 

NBA 2K24 can be played alone or in multiplayer mode (locally or online). The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are also equipped with cross-platform functionality. Among the available modules, the leading ones are: MyTEAM (where we create our dream team), MyPLAYER (which allows us to bring our own player to life), and MyCAREER (in which we step into the shoes of an athlete climbing the ladder of a basketball career). The latter on personal computers and eighth-generation consoles offers the opportunity to visit a seaside district, while on ninth-generation consoles we have an entire tropical city at our disposal.
