Developed by Bethesda Softworks, Starfield is an RPG game that allows us to take on the role of space travelers. Starfield is the first item from the company's publishing catalog in twenty-five years, which represents a completely new brand.

Starfield is an RPG set in a science fiction universe. The production was developed by the Bethesda Game Studios team, whose portfolio includes the bestselling The Elder Scrolls series, and since 2008 - also games under the Fallout banner. At the same time, this is the studio's first project in twenty-five years, which represents a completely new brand.

Story

Starfield presents us with a vision of the future, in which the colonization of space has become a reality. In 2310, a bloody conflict broke out in the so-called Settled Systems (a small part of the Milky Way, about 50 light years away from the solar system) between two factions - the United Colonies and the Free Star Collective. The war ended with the conclusion of a tentative peace, and its fruit was to make this patch of the Universe full of dangers.

Mechanics

In Starfield, we can watch the action from a first-person (FPP) or third-person (TPP) perspective. We start the game by creating a character in the incredibly complex wizard; among other things, we decide on her appearance, choose a personal pronoun, which will determine how other people will address her, and determine her past (which translates into her three starting skills). We can also choose to assign her certain "traits" (traits). While the latter are associated with certain weaknesses, they also have their good points. For example, a character who owns his own house has his own private four corners already at the start, but is burdened with the need to pay off a substantial loan. Further on, there is nothing left to do but to embark on an adventure, the enormity of which can be downright overwhelming.
